DJ Tom da Silva is of South-American descent and was raised in Brighton, UK, where he grew up partying and playing alongside Skint/Big-Beat pioneers. His first musical calling was hip-hop but Tom soon fell in love with electronic dance music and this wonderful thing called ‘House’.
Tom’s showmanship comes from years of playing the flamboyant fashion-conscious London party circuit, where “you have to be a bit outrageous to get noticed!”. With ten years-plus experience performing across the world and now Australia, from London to Leeds, Stockholm to Sydney, Tom is now based in Sydney full-time, has residencies at Tank, Lookin Good and SHE and is a regular on the Sydney circuit also playing for Kink, Moulin Nights, DTPM and Monkey Tennis to name a few. He has also been enjoying the reaction to his style and sound on his interstate outings. Tom is a fun media-friendly character with radio/broadcast experience working on Dance FM in London, hosting his own show on Bondi FM for two years and guest spots on Sydney’s FBI. Tom has a passion for all things music, and is currently working on new projects in his growing home-studio.
